Job description

Winter Environmental is seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Superintendent to lead field execution on large-scale industrial, environmental remediation, demolition, and specialty contracting projects throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.
This role is focused on technical remediation and industrial services work including soil and groundwater remediation, environmental system installations, tank cleaning and removals, facility decontamination, and industrial decommissioning.
We are looking for experienced field leaders who can safely manage production-driven remediation projects in active industrial, manufacturing, utility, and infrastructure environments.
Travel is required. Company-paid travel expenses and per diem are provided when applicable.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead daily field operations on environmental remediation and industrial services projects
  • Supervise remediation activities including:
    • Soil excavation and remediation
    • Groundwater remediation systems
    • Environmental system installations
    • Tank cleaning and removals
    • Facility decontamination and decommissioning
  • Plan daily work activities, manpower, equipment utilization, and sequencing
  • Read and execute remediation work plans, drawings, specifications, and technical scopes
  • Coordinate subcontractors, specialty vendors, and field crews
  • Manage site logistics, staging, access, and material handling
  • Lead daily safety meetings, field audits, and job hazard analyses
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, confined space, LOTO, and site-specific safety requirements
  • Complete field reporting, remediation documentation, waste tracking, and production updates
  • Communicate project status, risks, and field constraints with Project Managers and clients

Projects may include:
  • Soil and groundwater remediation
  • Industrial cleaning and decommissioning
  • Tank cleaning and removals
  • Utility and manufacturing facility work
  • Environmental system installations
  • Facility shutdowns and remediation
  • Specialty environmental services

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 5+ years of superintendent or senior field leadership experience in:
    • Environmental remediation
    • Industrial services
    • Tank cleaning or vessel work
    • Utility, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
  • Experience executing technical and regulated field work
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, RCRA, confined space, and industrial safety requirements
  • Ability to read remediation plans, coordinate crews, and manage complex field operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

Preferred:
  • Experience with soil and groundwater remediation systems
  • Tank cleaning, removal, or industrial vessel experience
  • Decommissioning or facility remediation experience
  • OSHA 30
  • HAZWOPER 40
  • Confined Space certifications
  • Experience working on active industrial or utility sites
