Description of Work
Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations, maintenance, and event readiness of Memorial Stadium, Hawks Championship Center, Osborne Legacy Complex, and other assigned facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring facilities are maintained to the highest standards while supporting the operational needs of Nebraska Athletics, student-athletes, coaches, staff, and guests.
The Director serves as the primary facilities lead for the assigned complex, providing leadership for facility operations, maintenance planning, event coordination, staff supervision, and project management. This position participates in an on-call rotation for facility-related emergencies and works evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to support athletic competitions and special events.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field and 3 years' progressive experience in facility operations, maintenance management, or venue management. Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Strong organizational, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to facility emergencies.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in NCAA Division I Athletics or large public assembly facilities.
  • Experience managing maintenance projects, contractors, and vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as FMX.
