Job description

Centurion Health is proud to be the provider of healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Site Medical Director to join our team at Lawrence Correctional Center located in Sumner, Illinois. Sumner is located less an hour from Terre Haute, Indiana.
The Medical Director provides the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements, direct clinical services for patients, and clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director. The Medical Director ensures efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided and participates in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.
Annual salary starting at $280,800 or higher based on years of experience.
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
  • Active, unrestricted MD/DO Illinois license or ability to obtain
  • Active, unrestricted DEA
  • Ability to pass credentialing, drug screening and background check
  • BC/BE in a primary care specialty is required

Available Shift
  • Monday - Friday
  • Day shift
  • No nights, holidays or weekends
  • Five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts available
