Job Description
  • Under broad direction, coordinates inventory planning requirements to provide seamless integration of supply chain and operations processes for one or more product service lines (PSLs).
  • Gathers business outlook from PSLs and Business Development (BD) and executes the inventory plan against the PSL demand plan to achieve optimized inventory levels.
  • Responsible for planning activities such as review of forecasts and replenishment recommendations generated by inventory planning tools, leading inventory planning meetings and ensuring actions arising from these meetings are executed.
  • Additionally, the role will provide coaching and training to Material Control Specialists and in some cases serve as team lead for small work groups or project teams.
  • Will have direct impact and responsibility to meet financial goals and objectives for the business.
Qualifications
  • Requires completion of a two year degree; a four year undergraduate degree in supply chain, engineering/applied math, finance/accounting or business is preferred.
  • Six years related experience in materials management which includes experience in procurement or logistics or a four year degree plus 2 years related work experience required.
  • Strong computer skills and analytical abilities to resolve problems required.

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Inventory Planner or Senior Inventory Planner.
