About the Role

The Sales Representative supports commercial activities within a defined territory, working directly with customers across industrial markets including foundry, pet care, iron ore pelletizing, and environmental applications.

This role combines customer engagement, technical understanding of bentonite-based products, and commercial execution to deliver value-driven solutions. The position focuses on building relationships with customer offices and production facilities, supporting sales growth, and developing market insights.

Key Responsibilities

Execute sales activities within assigned territory, engaging customers across office and production environments.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support long-term business growth.
Identify customer needs and recommend bentonite-based solutions aligned with operational requirements.
Provide technical support and product guidance, escalating complex issues as needed.
Prepare for and lead customer meetings, documenting outcomes and follow-up actions.
Capture customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights in CRM systems.
Support territory planning, sales forecasting, and pipeline development.
Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Travel to customer locations, including offices and industrial production sites (e.g., foundries, manufacturing plants).
Visit company plants (Wyoming and South Dakota) to build product and operational knowledge.

Qualifications

Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related discipline.
2-5 years of experience in sales, technical sales, or customer-facing roles.
Ability to travel up to 50% across the U.S.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
Basic analytical capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred
Experience in bentonite, industrial minerals, mining, or related industries.
Experience selling materials, chemicals, or industrial products.
Exposure to manufacturing, foundry, or industrial production environments.
