Job description

Location: Bon Secours Southside Regional Medical Center

Pay Rate: Salary - Salary Plan, 65,000.00 USD

Annual Work Shift:

Weโ€™re looking for a friendly, compassionate, leader to join our culinary team! Guide patients, families, and facility staff on all aspects of medical nutrition therapy to create a healthy and healing environment. Build relationships with physicians and nursing to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patientโ€™s nutritional needs.

Responsibilities Registered Dietitian at Bon Secours Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, VAFull and Part-Time Positions Available!
  • Full-Time: Starting salary $65,000 (Negotiable based on experience)
  • Part-Time: Starting hourly rate $35/hr (Negotiable based on experience) x 24 hrs per week

Extra benefits include paid CDR fees and FREE monthly CEUs!

Principal Duties & Responsibilities - Essential Functions
  • Nutrition Assessments & Follow-Ups: Complete nutrition assessments and follow-ups for individuals with increased nutritional needs in accordance with facility policies.
  • Document assessment of nutritional goals and/or changes in status in the medical record.
  • Educate individuals and/or their family members on nutritional needs as indicated.
  • Attend patient rounds on assigned floors.
  • Inform nursing and physicians of changes in patient/resident nutritional status.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Manager, Lead Clinical Dietitian, or DFNS.
  • Patient/Resident Satisfaction: Participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs with culinary and nutrition services. Ensure processes are followed and participate in performance improvements within trouble areas.
  • Patient Services Program Implementation & Maintenance: Educate staff, nursing, and food service employees on issues regarding special diets or formulas. Review and approve menus, formularies, substitutions, or changes.

Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed dietitian as required per state regulations
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or related field
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards
  • Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software
