Part-Time Registered Dietitian (HybridAssisted Living / Retirement Community)

Overview
RD Nutrition Consultants, LLC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition consulting services for a retirement community setting. Position Details
  • Facility Type: Retirement Community / Assisted Living
  • Schedule: Flexible
  • Hours: 5-10 hours per week
    • Approximately 30% remote (documentation, menu review, care coordination)
    • On-site presence required for assessments and facility collaboration
  • Compensation: $40.00-$46.00 per hour (based on experience)
  • Travel & Mileage: Paid in addition to hourly rate

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve menus for regular and therapeutic diets to ensure nutritional adequacy and regulatory compliance
  • Identify residents at nutritional risk and complete nutrition assessments as needed
  • Conduct periodic kitchen and food service audits to evaluate safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with culinary and care teams to enhance meal quality and resident satisfaction
  • Provide evidence-based nutrition recommendations and follow-up as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) (required)
  • Experience in assisted living, retirement communities, or long-term care preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable with electronic documentation and remote work tools
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high clinical standards
