Job description

Nurse Practitioner - Genetics

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join one of the nation's most integrated healthcare systems, with over 1,300 providers in Indianapolis, IN.

Community Health Network has an excellent opportunity for a Genetics trained advanced practice provider to work at Community Howard and Community Anderson. This provider will support high-risk oncology populations in Anderson and Kokomo, helping to build and strengthen our already established cancer prevention program in these markets.

  • Single, robust electronic medical record system (EPIC)
  • Support specifically in Oncology
  • Ability to collaborate with genetic counseling team; leadership skills; program growth
  • Expertise in evaluating and diagnosing genetic syndromes
  • Evaluate patients for and diagnosing genetic conditions, providing risk assessment, and counseling patients regarding risks and/or diagnosis.

Must successfully complete a nationally recognized Advanced Practice Nurse certification examination or have current national certification; must maintain certification on an ongoing basis.

Must be eligible for prescriptive authority under the criteria outlined by the Indiana State Board of Nursing; must maintain eligibility for prescriptive authority on an ongoing basis.
