COMPANY OVERVIEW
Since 2002, Quality Power Solutions (QPS) has provided end-to-end mission critical power solutions, including expert design, installation and maintenance of UPS systems and generators. QPS works with clients nationwide, and we maintain our Midwestern values by focusing on service, delivery, consistent performance, and the education of our customers on the many aspects of critical power. Our goal is being our customers trusted experts, so they don't have to worry about critical power and can focus on what they do best. QPS keeps backup power systems running smoothly, so business can power forward.
Principal Job Duties
This role is responsible for the growth of new clients, this person will work to generate qualified prospects and develop new market growth; to work strategically to bring new customers to QPS that fit our target profile.
  • Outside sales, prospecting and marketing
  • Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities and partners.
  • Contact/meet with key individuals of influence at target companies to develop, assess, and qualify their need for critical power maintenance or equipment, both current and future.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and knowledge surrounding industry trends and share insights
  • Document business development activity and pipeline with prospective clients to track and manage sales-related information and provide reporting as requested, schedule prospect meetings, develop and execute a follow up plan for key contacts, collecting and maintaining client information in the CRM database.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of power quality trends in the marketplace/industry
  • Creating and development of business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required or assigned.
  • Partake in trade shows, new business meetings and other business development tasks.
  • Works with sales, marketing and procurement to develop and on-board new accounts.
  • Works with service and sales team to develop project-based quotes
  • Cultivating strong relationships with new clients, with successful hand-off and introduction to the account management team
  • Working closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Associate Degree preferred, in Marketing/Communications/Business or similar
  • At least three years of experience working in Sales or Marketing, preferably in a professional service or technical industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of CRM

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Be able to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently
  • Be client focused, and work with a sense of pride and urgency
  • Be ambitious and adaptable to change

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to communicate in an active office environment.
  • Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office equipment (telephone, computer, calculator,

fax, copier, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate via telephone, email, chat, and in person.
  • Ability to sit for 80% or more of an 8-hour workday, and ability to read and view computer

screen.
