Job description

As a Lead Product Advisor supporting Commercial Farm Ranch you will provide the product and profit and growth linkage for all company and alliance products. Provide data analysis and information, identification of causes of deviations, development of solutions and driving the execution of plan implementation. Manage operational planning and rate revisions, accountable for achieving profit and growth goals. Depending upon business need, may specialize in leading new product innovation and development projects. Provide guidance to less experienced staff. You will report to Director, Product #LI-Hybrid

Position Compensation Range:

$99,000.00 - $167,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
  • Oversee development of strategies related to price, product and underwriting. Build and deliver product plans that lead to profitability and growth.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and our leaders to implement changes that enhance the customer experience.
  • Research the competition to develop opportunity and threat assessments.
  • Direct end-to-end life cycle of our initiatives.
  • Oversee implementation of product changes in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Lead with a continuous improvement approach.
  • Develop and maintains technical expertise within the product management team.
  • Oversee research and insights gathering and analysis including competitive intelligence, customer empathy, develop pricing models and analysis, and innovation methodology.
  • Develop customer product strategy including customer segmentation, roadmap development of product backlog. Collaborate with product management for opportunity identification, enterprise service linkage, vendor management and research.
  • Execute and oversee lean product innovation processes to test-and-validate product needs using minimum viable product and other concepts.
  • Develop and oversee process for launch of products, services and enhancements. Ensure overall compliance and financial viability. Identify and develop expansion strategy in partnership with appropriate distribution partners to increase exposure of product to appropriate new markets.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • Demonstrated experience developing insurance product/line of business strategies.
  • Extensive knowledge of leveraging customer, market, and competitor intelligence.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with lean innovation, agile or other development/innovation approaches.
  • Extensive knowledge of market research and marketplace and regulatory trends.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of product design, pricing and product management.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of advanced financial and data analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects in product development and product management.
  • Demonstrated experience with profit and loss accountability. Demonstrated experience in driving to results in one or more of the following areas: sales, product lines, claims, or other core business functions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading large complex projects or programs with a cross-divisional impact toward intended results.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of root cause analysis and processes.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month out of the Madison, WI, Boston, MA or Denver, CO offices.
