Job description

The Senior Manager, Oncology Forecasting & Insights is a key strategic partner to Braftovi and Mektovi brand leadership, responsible for shaping commercial strategy and translating market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and analytics into forward-looking forecasts that drive organizational decisions and action. The role combines strategic thinking, business acumen, and rigorous quantitative forecasting to identify growth opportunities, frame critical business questions, and recommend a course of action to senior leadership.

This position sits within the Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) organization and works closely with colleagues in market research, performance analytics, primary insights, as well as brand teams to identify critical business issues, shape brand strategy, define commercial growth opportunities, and optimize pipeline investments. The Senior Manager plays a lead role in advising business partners on new and existing business strategies, embedding an objective, market-grounded point of view into brand planning, LRP, and executive decision-making processes.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Braftovi/Mektovi brand leadership to shape long-range brand strategy, including identification of growth drivers, lifecycle opportunities, competitive positioning, and prioritized strategic imperatives

  • Serve as the integrated insights and strategy lead on the Braftovi/Mektovi brand team, synthesizing forecasts, market research, secondary analytics, and competitive intelligence into a single, actionable strategic narrative for senior leadership

  • Frame and lead strategic deep-dives on critical business questions (e.g., competitive response, label expansion, line-of-therapy dynamics, market shaping), bringing structured frameworks and clear recommendations to brand and franchise leadership

  • Lead development and implementation of complex models to produce unbiased and objective short-term and long-term regional and global revenue forecasts for in-market products and programs in clinical stage. Implement a variety forecast approaches to triangulate opportunity assessments, address key business questions, and evaluate risk factors

  • Identify key information needs to populate forecasting models, and work cross-functionally to identify sources of insight, e.g., pricing (working with Global Value Access), gross-to-net factors (working with Finance), current performance (working with PAI and DS) and market share projections (working with Market Research), etc.

  • Responsible for synthesis and presentation of forecast and strategic implications in a timely manner to key stakeholders, ensuring information is communicated clearly and effectively. Openly share perspective on commercial opportunities to elevate team thinking and drive a balanced, holistic point of view; effectively weigh and communicate trade-off considerations for the business

  • Collaborate with analytics and market research to understand the performance versus forecast-and continuously fine tune forecast assumptions based off performance and communicate this in a timely manner to key stakeholders.

  • Lead alignment of key stakeholders on the appropriate source of insights for each forecast assumption. Support the Franchise head in obtaining executive approval of forecast assumptions and outputs.

  • Provide revenue forecasts on an annual basis as input for key corporate processes, collaborating with Finance and/or Program Management

  • Coordinating with internal key stakeholders to set national sales force goals

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to translate demand forecasts to appropriate production and stock keeping schedules

  • Ensure timely tracking of forecast accuracy and key assumptions across data sources

  • Actualize forecast models quarterly to set latest estimates

  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to develop meaningful solutions to address business needs and priorities, gain alignment and deliver impactful insights; engage necessary stakeholders to enable better decision-making

  • Develop requests for proposals, solicits competitive bids, awards contracts to outside forecast and commercial data partners; manages the activities of the outside partners and reviews their performance against proposals and budgets.

  • Partner with other CMO functional areas to ensure shared knowledge between these functional groups

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, science or business-related focus is preferred and 6+ years of experience or MS/MBA with 5+ years of experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years of biopharmaceuticals (market research, analytics or forecasting) and/or management consulting experience with demonstrated expertise in sophisticated forecasting methodologies. Advanced degree in relevant field may be substituted for some experience.

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical development and commercialization process, as well as industry competitive dynamics.

  • Superior analytical ability, ability to think strategically, and excellent project management skills.

  • Ability to contribute to cross-functional teams and influence cross-functionally in a matrix environment.

  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills and is a self-starter.

  • Experience developing and using Excel-based models and conducting quantitative analysis.

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oncology experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial strategy, brand planning, or strategic consulting, with the ability to synthesize insights into clear strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

  • Minimum of 7+ years of insights generation functions within biopharmaceuticals (market research, analytics or forecasting) and/or management consulting experience is required with demonstrated expertise in sophisticated forecasting methodologies. Advanced degree in relevant field may be substituted for some experience.

  • Experience creating and operating oncology sales forecasts based on multiple methodologies, e.g., epidemiology based, statistical or trend-based, in-market products.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams across organizational lines and structures.

  • Ability to manipulate large data sets, e.g., commercial claims data, using modern analytic tools, including Snowflake SQL

  • Comfort with senior management presentation. Ability to develop understanding of how senior management thinks and makes decisions; can speak their language and respond to their needs.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty, act without having the total picture, and effectively pose questions to identify information required for decision-making

  • Comfort in utilizing AI to forecast model accuracies and improve efficiency

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $207,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
