Job Title:ย Senior Product Manager - Protein Services

Job Scope:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for our protein services and catalog product portfolio. This individual will own the product roadmap, drive lifecycle management, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure market success. The role demands a strong blend of scientific expertise, business acumen, and data-driven decision-making to translate market insights into actionable product strategies. This role requires deep expertise in product management within life sciences or biotech, along with the ability to translate complex market insights into actionable strategies that deliver commercial impact. Candidates should have a proven track record in product management and the ability to operate at a strategic level while staying connected to execution.

Please note that this position is ideally based onsite in Piscataway, NJ; however, remote within the US will be considered.ย 

The estimated salary range is $120,000 - $150,000, based on experience.ย 

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Act as the strategic owner of the protein services and catalog portfolio, managing the full product lifecycle and driving portfolio performance
  • Define and execute the product roadmap, prioritizing opportunities based on market potential, customer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives
  • Lead new product development from ideation to launch, coordinating with R&D, operations, regulatory, and commercial teams
  • Leverage market data, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to guide strategic decisions, pricing, and positioning
  • Collaborate with marketing to build compelling campaigns, content, and messaging that support adoption and brand awareness
  • Develop sales enablement tools and training materials in partnership with the commercial team to drive revenue growth
  • Utilize strong business and financial acumen to evaluate ROI, track KPIs, and guide portfolio investment decisions

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of product management experience in the life sciences or biotech industry.
  • Proven success in translating customer insights into product strategy and delivering market-driven innovation.
  • Strong understanding of scientific and technical workflows in protein production, CRISPR, synthetic biology, or gene/cell therapy.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full product lifecycle and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in biological sciences, bioengineering, molecular biology, or related disciplines, MBA degree is desired.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong business and analytical skills, with experience in market analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a strong asset.
