Position Overview
The Corporate Development & Strategy Intern will support Northwest Bank's strategic growth initiatives by assisting with market analysis, financial evaluation, and enterprise strategy projects. This role provides direct exposure to executive-level decision-making and offers hands-on experience in corporate strategy, M&A evaluation, and business transformation within a regulated financial services environment.
This internship is designed for high-performing students interested in strategy, finance, consulting, or banking leadership careers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis & Research
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support enterprise strategy initiatives
  • Analyze industry trends across banking, fintech, and financial services
  • Develop insights to inform strategic planning and growth opportunities
Corporate Development Support
  • Assist in evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnership opportunities
  • Support financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence preparation
  • Compile briefing materials for senior leadership discussions
Business Performance & Insights
  • Analyze financial and operational performance data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Support development of executive-level presentations and strategic updates
  • Assist in building dashboards, reports, and business cases
Project-Based Work
  • Participate in cross-functional strategic projects (e.g., digital transformation, operational efficiency, client growth initiatives)
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Retail Banking, and Commercial teams
  • Deliver a final presentation summarizing key findings and recommendations

Qualifications
