Product Manager - MQ Power (Lifecycle & Operations)

Full-Time Exempt Cypress, CA Monday-Friday (Hybrid)

Multiquip is seeking a strategic and customer-focused Product Manager to lead and grow our MQ Power product line. In this high-impact role, you'll own the full product lifecycle-from concept and development to optimization and end-of-life decisions-while driving profitability and market success.

What You'll DoProduct Strategy & Lifecycle Management
  • Own and manage assigned MQ Power product lines through the full lifecycle, including development, optimization, cost reduction, and end-of-life decisions
  • Develop product strategies, roadmaps, and business plans aligned with company growth objectives
  • Identify new product opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights
Market Insight & Customer Focus
  • Act as the voice of the customer by understanding application needs across rental, construction, industrial, and end-user segments
  • Ensure products deliver strong economic value while meeting performance, cost, and profitability targets
  • Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives to inform product decisions and enhancements
New Product Development & Execution
  • Define product specifications and build business cases for new product introductions
  • Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams to launch products successfully and on time
  • Support customized product requests (CPRs) by coordinating across Sales, Engineering, and Operations
Supplier & Partner Management
  • Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers to develop, test, and improve product offerings
  • Address quality concerns, manage improvements, and support warranty resolution efforts
Performance, Pricing & Inventory
  • Monitor product performance, warranty trends, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with Supply Chain to manage inventory levels aligned with demand
  • Support pricing strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Service, Parts, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance teams
  • Provide product training and application expertise to internal teams and customers
  • Support marketing initiatives, technical documentation, and trade show participation
Market Intelligence & Communication
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and market research
  • Communicate product updates, improvements, and key insights across internal teams and external partners

What You BringExperience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of product management or related experience within power equipment, industrial machinery, or manufacturing industries
Technical & Industry Knowledge
  • Understanding of power generation equipment, generators, or related industrial products preferred
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product documentation
  • Technical aptitude in mechanical and/or electrical systems
Business & Analytical Skills
  • Experience managing product lifecycles, including new product introduction and profitability optimization
  • Strong analytical skills in market research, competitive analysis, and financial evaluation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple product lines and priorities
Communication & Collaboration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and leadership
  • Strong presentation and training capabilities
Tools & Organization
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with product management or roadmapping tools is a plus
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for customer visits, supplier meetings, and industry events

Compensation & Benefits
  • $90,000.00-$115,000.00/Yr
