Job description

Operations Research Analyst (Compensation) - Kaseya US LLC (Miami, FL)

 Multiple Openings.

The Operations Research Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimizing global compensation programs, including base, variable, and equity compensation, to attract and retain top talent. This role also involves conducting strategic analysis to identify problems, evaluate alternative courses of action, and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency and lead transformative projects that align with company objectives. The role will collaborate closely with HR, finance, and business leaders -- leveraging mathematical modeling and quantitative insights to enhance compensation structures and operational processes.

The primary responsibilities for the role include:

  • Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and optimizing methods to analyze global compensation programs including base salary, incentive compensation, and equity compensation, to evaluate alignment with organizational objectives and market data of technology industry peers.
  • Develop and maintain complex statistical compensation models and systems to support various departments in compensation planning, workforce cost forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Perform regression analysis, predictive modeling, and other statistical techniques to assess current compensation trends, pay equity, workforce cost projections, and retention initiatives.
  • Drive annual compensation review and incentive payment process by preparing models, configuring Oracle HCM Workforce Compensation tool, defining data requirements, gathering and validating information, applying judgment and statistical tests, and presenting results to business stakeholders.
  • Gather, organize, and evaluate external compensation survey data and labor market datasets to support competitive market pricing and pay positioning.
  • Drive global job architecture and leveling initiatives by formulating and applying mathematical modeling to analyze job content, and recommend compensation structures.
  • Design and develop decision support tools and data visualization guides  using Power BI to present compensation and operational metrics to management and key stakeholders.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of global compensation data.
  • Conduct compliance analyses related to compensation reporting requirements, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) classification review and documentation.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) activities for compensation system implementations and enhancements, including developing test scripts, executing test cases, documenting results, and coordinating problem resolution with IT partners.
  • Regularly generate ad hoc analytical reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions to support management decision-making related to compensation and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, and Transformation teams to ensure successful implementation of chosen compensation solutions and operational process improvements.

A qualified candidate will possess at a minimum a Master's degree (or a foreign equivalent degree) in Operations Research, Statistics, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field followed by two (2) years of experience as a Total Rewards Analyst, Compensation Analyst, or similar position at a software company applying mathematical modeling and optimization methods to total rewards and workforce decision-making. The experience, which may have been gained concurrently, must have included two (2) years of experience with each of the following:

  • Developing mathematical and simulation models for workforce analysis including regression analysis, human capital modeling, and workforce forecasting.
  • Developing decision support tools and high-quality data visualizations  using Power BI and similar reporting tools to present compensation and workforce findings to senior management, and support business decision making.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining global compensation programs, including base salary structures, job leveling principles, incentive compensation plans, and equity programs; supporting multiple business units and unique geographic regions.
  • Conducting compensation-related compliance analysis, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) classification review, audit support, and documentation to ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
