Job Description and Responsibilities:
The Senior Program Manager will lead the Emerging Technologies Lab (ETL) team in support of critical Program Executive Office for Fixed Wing (PEO-FW), Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) initiatives. This position serves as the primary interface between the engineering team and the government customer, responsible for the overall management of the contract, budget, schedule, and personnel. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader capable of translating customer requirements into actionable tasks while driving program growth and ensuring exceptional team performance.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders, including USSOCOM PEOs, the Rapid Innovation Cell (RIC), and AFSOC directorates, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Manage all aspects of the contract, including scope, deliverables, modifications, and reporting. Lead the strategy and development of the contract follow-on effort.
  • Oversee the program budget, manage funding lines, track expenditures, and ensure all efforts are executed within financial constraints.
  • Lead and direct a team of highly specialized engineers, managing workloads, setting priorities, and ensuring the team is resourced to meet all objectives.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for program growth by aligning the team's unique capabilities with the stated priorities of AFSOC, ACCA, and the broader SOF community.
  • Deliver regular, comprehensive status reports, financial updates, and performance reviews to both corporate leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify program risks (technical, schedule, funding, personnel) and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Must be willing to work onsite daily at customer or corporate locations at MacDill AFB, FL as directed.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Relevant experience and years of service may be considered in lieu of required education.

Required Experience:

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Program Management supporting DoD contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience managing contract cost, schedule, and performance for the U.S. Government.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of the government contracting process, including proposal development and contract modifications.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team with the skills and personality to lead discussions that result in positive desired outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Experience:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Direct experience managing programs in support of USSOCOM or AFSOC.
  • Familiarity with the technical domains of the ETL team (e.g., airborne ISR, autonomy, tactical networking).
  • Experience with various contract types (e.g., CPFF, FFP) and managing subcontractor relationships.

Travel:Up to 20% based on customer needs.
