Responsibilities

  • Initiate and lead conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust. Navigate the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements.
  • Be a strategic design thinker using design thinking principles. Help take RSM to the next level in technology by representing RSM as a Workday Design Partner, influencing and testing Workday design and functionality as an early adopter.
  • Contributes technical and functional knowledge of Workday, with specific expertise in Workday Compensation and related HCM processes. Provides oversight and guidance on Compensation configuration, functionality, and technology solutions supporting compensation programs and processes.
  • Nurture relationships with key HR partners, including Compensation stakeholders, to understand strategic roadmaps as well as emergent needs; manage both expectations and work to deliver solutions on time and within resource constraints.
  • Successful prioritization of large-scale COE-Workday projects, both within the COE and across COEs, aligned to overall HR strategy. Provides oversight and prioritization of Workday Compensation initiatives, annual compensation activities, enhancements, defects, reporting needs, and security/access requests.
  • Optimized configuration and smooth operation of Workday within assigned modules, with primary responsibility for Workday Compensation. Provides expert analysis and oversight of configuration supporting compensation processes, including compensation plans, eligibility, compensation review processes, and related business processes, in comparison to desired functionality, with diagnosed gaps, roadblocks, and inefficiencies.
  • Provides clear and detailed documentation of functional requirements, creation of project plans, management of testing plans, organizational change and socialization initiatives. Oversees testing and production readiness for Compensation configuration and ensures appropriate consideration of upstream and downstream impacts.
  • Leads a dedicated team of analysts, fostering a team culture of continuous improvement and technological empowerment. Provides functional direction, work prioritization, coaching, and review of analyst-delivered Workday Compensation configuration and solutions.
  • Familiarizes themselves with upcoming Workday release functionality and explores ways to utilize new features that will add efficiencies to the COEs they support, with particular focus on functionality that enhances Compensation processes and the employee and manager experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in Workday and PeopleSoft, including hands-on experience supporting Workday Compensation.
  • Ability to translate functional requirements to technical language and vice versa. Experience facilitating discussions to bring technical and functional groups to consensus and common understanding.
  • Extensive experience in one or more HR subject areas, with demonstrated Workday Compensation experience and knowledge of compensation processes such as compensation plans, eligibility, merit and bonus processes, and compensation review, to provide expertise and context on functional standard methodologies.
  • Proven experience in Workday system configuration, at least at a Functional Admin level, including the ability to review and provide oversight of Workday Compensation configuration, in order to advise partners on Workday capabilities, limitations, and delivered functionality.
  • Experience solving configuration and integration issues through root-cause analysis, deep understanding of cross-stream and downstream impacts, and independent testing.
  • Experience leading or providing oversight for Workday initiatives, including prioritizing work, reviewing solutions and configuration, coordinating testing, and guiding analysts through implementation and production support.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment where technology and people synergize to achieve more than they could individually, while ensuring inclusivity and valuing all contributions.
  • Building partnerships by acting as a liaison to foster understanding and collaboration between business clients and team members.
  • Strategic thinking and planning to guide the team towards success, with a focus on growth, learning, and integrity.
  • Effective communication to articulate vision and strategies, and to inspire and build trust among team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Workday Compensation through annual compensation cycles, system enhancements, Workday releases, testing, and production support.
  • Ability to think globally about a process impact, but also be able to manage relevant detail.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $111,200 - $190,300

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
