JOB MISSION:

The Regional Compensation Manager serves as an expert in compensation across the North America region and in collaboration with various functions and leaders to help define the overall compensation strategy.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Designs, recommends, and administers compensation programs that address the strategic needs of the region, delivering innovative and customized solutions that reflect the unique dynamics of the diversified workforce.

  • Serves as the strategic advocate for the region, ensuring regional insights and priorities inform and influence COE frameworks, policies, and practices.

  • Designs and maintains compensation structures for the region, ensuring alignment with global frameworks while addressing local market realities.

  • Monitors and interprets market trends, evaluating external competitiveness and providing insights that guide regional compensation strategy and decisionmaking.

  • Provides expert consultation to regional stakeholders, sharing best practices and building trusted, serviceoriented partnerships with HR and business leaders.

  • Advises HR on compensation governance, new hire offers, promotions, market analyses, pay equity considerations, and other compensation initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's compensation philosophy.

  • Supports the development and delivery of compensation education and training for HR and business leaders to enhance understanding and adoption of compensation programs. Furthers work in the pay transparency space.

  • Ensures ongoing compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, proactively identifying risks and maintaining standards of accuracy and governance.

  • Collaborates with regional benefits specialists to ensure a competitive total rewards strategy that aligns with company expectations.

REQUIRMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of total rewards experience required.

  • Strong experience with compensation programs and practices.

  • Pursuit of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail with large data sets. Ability to draw trends from data and propose creative solutions.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills including the ability to effectively translate data to varying audiences.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Must be flexible in an ambiguous environment.

  • Must handle sensitive, confidential matters and situations with maturity and discretion.

  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to base and incentive pay programs.

Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $122,100.00 - $157,500.00 - $192,900.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
