Job description

A Senior Product Analyst will own SEO strategy for OReillyAuto.com, including GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). This role will spend part of the year enhancing and optimizing the existing site, while also helping define and shape how organic discovery is built into our next-generation platform.
While this role sits within our Product Analyst career path, the scope is closer to a product manager for organic acquisition, with ownership spanning research, roadmap creation, and delivery in partnership with Agile teams.
Responsibilities
  • Own SEO, GEO, and AEO strategy for OReillyAuto.com
  • Balance hands-on analysis and research with strategic roadmap ownership
  • Coordinate closely with business stakeholders to create and manage quarterly roadmaps aligned to strategic goals
  • Partner closely with product managers, designers, and Agile engineering teams to deliver roadmap initiatives
  • Define problem statements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria for organic search work
  • Stay current on SEO best practices, algorithm changes, and AI-driven search trends; proactively test and share learnings
  • Measure performance using analytics and search tooling; evaluate impact post-launch and iterate

Skills & Capabilities
  • Strong understanding of modern SEO best practices, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, structured data, internal linking, and content discoverability
  • Comfort with performance and quality considerations such as page speed, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexing, and HTML structure
  • Familiarity with metadata, URLs, page architecture, and schema concepts
  • Experience working with analytics and search tools (e.g., GA4, Search Console, SEO platforms)
  • Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and drive work forward in an Agile environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain why an initiative matters and how success is measured

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in SEO, organic growth, digital analytics, or product analytics
  • Experience supporting large-scale, consumer-facing websites or ecommerce platforms preferred
  • Demonstrated experience owning initiatives end-to-end, from insight through delivery and measurement
