At Azenta, new ideas, new technologies and new ways of thinking are driving our future. Our customer-focused culture encourages employees to embrace innovation and challenge the status quo with novel thinking and collaborative work relationships.

Azenta Life Sciences is a global leader in the life sciences space with headquarters in Burlington, MA, and offices and operations worldwide. We are a market leader in automated bio sample management solutions and genomic services across areas such as drug development, clinical and advanced cell therapies for the industry's top pharmaceutical, biotech, academic and healthcare institutions globally.

How You'll Add Value...

As Compensation Analyst, reporting to the Compensation Manager, you will support the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of Azenta's compensation programs. This role will be heavily involved in sales incentive compensation administration and payment processing, while also supporting broad-based compensation programs and day-to-day compensation advisory support for HR Business Partners.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career compensation professional with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in learning both sales compensation and global broad-based compensation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll Do...

  • Support sales incentive compensation plan administration, including participant data, quota information, plan documents, calculation review, payment processing, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to help ensure sales incentive payments are accurate, timely, and aligned with approved plan terms.
  • Assist with quarterly sales incentive payment processes, including data validation, exception tracking, payment files, communications, and post-payment reconciliation.
  • Support sales compensation tools and data processes, including Xactly, SPIFF, Salesforce.com, or related systems as applicable.
  • Provide day-to-day compensation support to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and managers, including market pricing, salary range guidance, offer support, promotion analysis, and internal equity review.
  • Assist with global compensation programs, including annual salary review, incentive plan eligibility, bonus calculations, survey participation, salary structure maintenance, and compensation reporting.
  • Maintain compensation data integrity in Workday and other systems, helping to ensure accurate job, grade, salary range, incentive, and employee compensation information.
  • Prepare compensation analyses, reports, dashboards, and data summaries to support decision-making for HR and business leaders.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and support market data collection, job matching, and survey input processes.
  • Help document and improve compensation processes, with a focus on simplification, accuracy, controls, and scalability.
  • Leverage Excel, reporting tools, and emerging technologies, including AI, to streamline administrative work and enhance compensation analytics.
  • Support other Total Rewards and HR programs as needed.

What you will Bring...

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in compensation, HR, finance, sales operations, analytics, or related internship/project experience.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to work accurately with large data sets and summarize findings clearly.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and process discipline.
  • Curiosity and interest in learning compensation programs, sales incentive plan administration, and global Total Rewards practices.
  • Comfortable partnering with HR Business Partners, Finance, Sales, Payroll, and other stakeholders to resolve questions and support business needs.
  • Workday experience helpful; Xactly, SPIFF, Salesforce.com, or sales compensation system experience is a plus.
  • Interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and enhance analytics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain data and compensation information clearly and professionally.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
