We are looking for a teacher to join our growing staff!

Schedule:

Education:

  • Bachelor's in Elementary Education (or multiple years of experience as lead elementary classroom teacher with a bachelor's in a different field)

Experience:

License/Certification:

  • Teaching Certification (Preferred)

The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as a teacher of elementary-aged children. This person must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Planning, supervising and implementing the academic and behavioral program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school.
  • Gearing the program to the need of individual children with concerns for their interests, special needs, talents and individual style and pace of learning.
  • Considering individual children in relation to their cultural and socioeconomic background.
  • Treating children with dignity and respect.
  • Helping children to become aware of their roles as integral members of a group.
  • Being responsible for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and learning environment of the classroom.
  • Attending all staff meetings.
  • Participating in offered training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth.
  • Implementing methods for effectively utilizing the services of classroom assistants.
  • Planning and implementing methods of working collaboratively and communicating well with parents of the students.
  • Conducting parent conferences.
  • Assisting in the ongoing evaluation procedures needed to assess the developmental levels of the children.
  • Keep first-aid and CPR training up to date with provided trainings.
