AJC Group: Talent Acquisition Specialist

AJC International

Atlanta, GA

Full-time

Posted 5 days ago

Job description

About AJC:

AJC Group is a diversified international company built on two platforms: AJC Foods, a global trader of food and protein products, and AJC Logistics, a provider of truck brokerage, ocean and air freight management, 3PL, freight forwarding and customs brokerage. We operate across the Americas, Asia, and EMEA.

Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages full life cycle recruiting for AJC Group and is the go-to expert on our recruiting systems and process. This is a single-recruiter function supporting both platforms (Logistics and Food) across multiple countries from operational and functional to commercial sales and procurement roles. Regional HR team members collaborate with the Specialist on entry-level and site-based hiring as needed.

The Specialist partners with hiring managers, leadership, and the Global HR team to translate manpower plans into hires, and is accountable for time-to-fill, quality of hire, and the integrity of the AJC recruitment process. The successful candidate is both a hands-on sourcer and a process owner who can carry long-term initiatives (reporting, SOPs, university and agent pipelines) through to completion.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Run full life cycle recruiting across AJC Group - intake meetings, sourcing, pre-screening, panel coordination, offers and handoff for onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define the role, target profile and search strategy, then deliver vetted candidates for streamlined selection and review.
  • Source proactively through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Boolean search, referrals and direct outreach - including passive commercial talent in the U.S. and internationally.
  • Build long-term pipelines through university partnerships, career fairs, the internship program and industry networks.
  • Manage agency relationships and fees while reducing agency spend through direct sourcing.
  • Serve as the trusted talent advisor to hiring managers and leadership, with clear written pipeline updates and honest points of view on candidate fit.
  • Keep BambooHR data accurate and maintain recruiting dashboards and reporting for senior leadership.
  • Uphold AJC's recruitment standards, including required approvals before any offer is extended.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of full life cycle recruiting experience in a corporate environment.
  • Proven success recruiting professional and commercial roles, including sales.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-powered sourcing and screening tools.
  • Demonstrated follow-through and accountability - able to carry long-cycle searches and multi-month projects to completion without reminders.
  • Strong written communication; comfortable providing structured written updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the discipline to maintain systems and reporting during high-volume periods.
  • Experience recruiting internationally, for multi-country/multi-entity organizations, food trading, logistics, or a related industry is a significant plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (formulas, pivots, reporting); Power BI exposure a plus.
  • Proficiency with an ATS (BambooHR preferred) and with sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.
  • Self-starter able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by challenges and growth opportunities, and possesses a true passion for talent.
  • Comfortable interacting across diverse cultures and backgrounds; avid networker with an outgoing personality.

Language:

  • Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write in English fluently.
  • Proficiency in professional Spanish strongly preferred given hiring activity in Mexico, Puerto Rico and LATAM.
