Position Overview

Life Compass Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Professional Counselor to join our team in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This full-time position offers flexibility through a remote work setting, allowing you to provide exceptional outpatient counseling services that make a genuine impact on clients' mental health and well-being.

About the Organization

At Life Compass Counseling Center, we prioritize holistic client care and provide a supportive environment for both our clients and staff. Our mission is to empower individuals, couples, and families to navigate life's challenges and enhance their emotional resilience. We are committed to utilizing evidence-based practices while nurturing a compassionate atmosphere that embraces diversity and inclusivity among our client population.

Work Environment

This role supports a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity. Our outpatient office is equipped with state-of-the-art telehealth technology, facilitating seamless communication and client engagement. We foster a collaborative team environment where mental health professionals can share ideas, resources, and support for continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized counseling to a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on both immediate concerns and long-term mental health strategies.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each client, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
  • Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Implement coping strategies and life skills training to empower clients in managing their mental health challenges effectively.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring all documentation reflects accurate progress notes and treatment updates.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in counseling practices and promote best practices throughout the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from young adults experiencing anxiety and depression to families navigating relational issues and other life transitions. Our client population embraces diversity, creating opportunities for counselors to practice cultural sensitivity and adaptability in their therapeutic approaches. Understanding the unique experiences of each individual will be crucial in tailoring effective treatment strategies.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • An active state license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a strong rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
  • A commitment to ethical practice and a passion for helping individuals reach their mental health goals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while illustrating independence and proactivity in client sessions.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with various cultural backgrounds, enhancing sensitivity towards clients' unique situations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, or other evidence-based modalities.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques, ensuring high-quality virtual client interactions.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload size. A commitment to your professional growth is reflected in our support for continuing education and access to unlimited client referrals, allowing you to focus entirely on providing exceptional care. Additional benefits include:

  • A flexible work schedule to support your work-life balance.
  • An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) designed to prioritize both your mental well-being and that of your clients.
  • All billing and administrative tasks will be handled by our dedicated team, enabling you to devote more time to client interactions and less on paperwork.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Life Compass Counseling Center, we believe in nurturing talents and supporting career advancement. As you provide exceptional care and demonstrate your skills, there will be opportunities for increasing responsibilities, leadership roles, and specialization in particular treatment areas, all while encouraging your professional development through training and workshops.
