Job description

Condition of Employment: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this position. Employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements.

Vehicle Use: Delivery drivers will have access to company-owned vehicles based on availability. However, there may be times when using a personal vehicle is necessary. Mileage reimbursement may be provided as applicable.

Compensation: The wages for this position include a base hourly rate plus tips. Tip amounts may vary based on factors such as driver schedule, order size, and guest generosity.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that orders are delivered promptly and accurately, embodying the hospitality and professionalism that Chick-fil-A is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely Deliveries: Ensure orders are delivered to customers promptly while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional service during deliveries, addressing any customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Order Accuracy: Verify that all orders are complete and accurate before leaving the restaurant, including necessary condiments and utensils.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
  • In-Restaurant Support: Assist with restaurant operations during non-delivery times, such as order preparation and packaging.

Requirements:

  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Prior delivery or driving experience preferred; familiarity with GPS navigation and smartphone applications.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability: Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends; ability to work at least 15 hours per week.
