Description
Position Summary
SOLVCHEM, Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Company Driver to join our Logistics team in Midlothian, Texas. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient local delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical products while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous products using pallet jacks, handling 55-gallon drums, IBC totes, and other heavy materials (regular lifting up to 50 lbs.).
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractors and trailers, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.
  • Serve as a professional company representative and liaison to customers in an appropriate manner at all times.
  • Complete and submit all delivery, driver, and hazardous materials paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Logistics Department regarding vehicle maintenance, repairs, and upcoming expiration dates.
  • Adhere to all SOLVCHEM safety policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Keep assigned vehicle clean and in excellent operating condition.
  • Assist warehouse operations as directed, including forklift use, loading, cleaning, and general plant support.
  • Comply with all DOT, federal, state, and company regulations regarding the transport of hazardous materials.
  • Submit to required drug screenings and alcohol tests per company policy.
  • Follow the SOLVCHEM Driver Handbook, including journey management and security protocols.
  • Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, and product specifications following prescribed recording procedures.
  • Calculate factors, such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
  • Write production reports based on data compiled.
  • Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Department.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement.
  • Must be able to safely operate a manual transmission (stick shift) commercial vehicle.
  • Current DOT medical card and hazardous materials transportation certificate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience (chemical industry experience strongly preferred).
Preferred Skills & Attributes
  • A strong safety mindset, customer service orientation, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
