Make an Impact Where It Matters Most as a Medical Director in Aiken, South Carolina

Bring better to the bedside in Aiken. In this role, you’ll combine clinical skill with purpose, delivering patient-centered care and driving performance in a supportive environment. You’ll have the autonomy to lead and the resources to grow— while making a difference for patients and families every day.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • At Aiken Regional Medical Center, our strong, collaborative team includes 11 physicians, 6 advanced practice providers, a clinical performance nurse, and a practice manager.
  • Our team works with Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Transitional Year residents.
  • Partner with local Sound Physicians Emergency Medicine and Critical Care teams to deliver coordinated patient-centered care and smooth transitions across care settings.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified in family or internal medicine.
  • Prior hospitalist medical director or leadership experience required.
  • H1B visa sponsorship available with dedicated in-house visa, licensing, and credentialing support.

Scheduling:

  • The schedule is split between administrative and clinical shifts, giving you a mix of clinical responsibilities and dedicated administrative time to support patient care and leadership or program development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an active clinical role caring for hospitalized patients.
  • Collaborate with hospital executives, physician leaders, and service line partners to advance organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the hospital medicine program.
  • Drive efforts focused on quality improvement, patient experience, operational excellence, and physician engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture among physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Support the recruitment, retention, development, and engagement of hospital medicine providers.
  • Champion best practices, clinical excellence, and continuous program improvement.
