Job description

Position Overview The Jackson County Department of Social Services is recruiting for a Community Social Services Assistant. Grade 15 Duties and Responsibilities Duties primarily involve transporting foster children for a variety of purposes such as visits with parents, medical appointments, counseling, education, or training. Candidates for this position should be highly dependable and adaptable.

Must have the ability to lift children and car seats. Must have the ability to interact well with children. Education and Experience Completion of high school required.

Possess a valid NC driver license with a good driving record. This requirement exists at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment.
