This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.

Job Description:

Pediatrician will be responsible for medical care and treatment of infants, children, and adolescents. He /She would be diagnosing and managing health issues specific to younger populations, including preventive care, developmental assessments, and treatment of illnesses or injuries.
The duties would be included but not limited to:

  1. Health Assessments: Conducting regular check-ups to monitor growth, development, and overall health.
  2. Diagnosing Illnesses: Identifying and treating medical conditions, diseases, and injuries in children.
  3. Preventive Care: Administering vaccinations and providing guidance on nutrition, hygiene, and safety.
  4. Managing Chronic Conditions: Treating long-term illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, or congenital disorders.
  5. Developmental Monitoring: Assessing physical, emotional, and social development milestones.
  6. Educating Families: Offering advice to parents and caregivers on child health and wellness.
  7. Collaborating with Specialists: Referring patients to other medical professionals when specialized care is 
    needed.
      

Qualifications:

  • Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
  • Fulfilled CPSA' Eligibility Requirements for the registration with CPSA.
  • In case of Practice Readiness Assessment; willing to participate in CPSA's PRA process.
  • Physicians trained in the USA, UK, Ireland, or Australia can also apply.
  • Term Contract/Commitment with Clinic
