Job Description

The Sales Specialist steps in to lead the sales function at a community during a Sales Director vacancy. This role is responsible for coaching, training and supporting Sales Directors to ensure optimal/full occupancy of the community. This position partners with Executive Directors and Regional Sales Directors to develop and execute strategic sales plans, business processes and related business development activity.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the community sales activities; working with placement agencies, speaking with prospects, touring potential residents, and closing sales.
  • Analyze occupancy trends, market/competition trends and length of sales cycle data to determine the necessary sales activities to achieve full occupancy and a robust wait list.
  • Develop an effective outreach plan based on the needs of the community.
  • Ensure apartment readiness and the completion of all move-in paperwork prior to move- in.
  • Monitor the community, model apartments and outside grounds to ensure that the community is clean and tour-ready.
  • Travel up to 100% to communities across the country.
  • Collaboration with Executive Directors and Regional Teams.
Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred or commensurate experience.
  • 5 years of sales experience in senior living required.
  • 5+ years of in-depth experience with online sales management platforms, tracking all sales activities and meet budgeted occupancy, revenue, and quarterly sales goal.
  • Must have strong communication skills to connect with potential residents, current residents, placement agencies, and team members.
  • Self-motivated, organized and professional. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, problem solving, conflict management and budgeting.
