Job description

Title: Community Support Associate (multiple openings)
Location: Kentucky River Community Care/Lee County Outpatient & Schools
Employment Type: Regular Full Time
Credentials Required: High School/GED
Special skills/knowledge required: Have one (1) year full-time experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a Mental Health Disorder and/or co-occurring disorder.
MUST COMPLETE WITHIN SIX (6) MONTHS OF HIRE THE DEPARTMENT-LED OR APPROVED TRAINING PROGRAM.
Primary Functions:
  • Conduct activities necessary to allow an individual to live with maximum independence in community-integrated housing;
  • Ensure successful community living through the utilization of skill training, cueing, or supervision as identified in the recipient's treatment plan;
  • Include: reminding a recipient to take medications and monitoring symptoms and side effects of medications; teaching parenting skills, teaching community resource access and utilization, teaching emotional regulation skills, teaching coping skills, teaching how to shop, teaching about transportation, teaching financial management, or developing and enhancing interpersonal skills;
  • Meet the requirements for comprehensive community support services established in 908 KAR 2:250.

Shift/Days & Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
