Job description

About the Position:

The Community Relations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Las Colinas Association’s (LCA) community engagement, member communications, and event programming. Working closely with the Marketing and Community Relations Director, the Member Relations and Development Director and the Digital Marketing Specialist, this position helps create a welcoming and engaging experience for LCA members and community partners–from welcoming new members and managing department programs to supporting community initiatives, nonprofit partnerships and events throughout the year.

Major Responsibilities:

Community & Member Relations

  • Support the Member Relations and Development Director with individual member engagement efforts. 
  • Assist with the maintenance, updates and communication efforts of the Las Colinas Member Portal.
  • Work alongside the Digital Marketing Specialist to execute LCA’s digital marketing strategy across social media, website and email platforms.
  • Stay informed on the Las Colinas business and community news/updates.

Department Programs

  • Help coordinate the LCA New Member Welcome Program.
  • Facilitate the monthly LCA Recognized Properties Program.
  • Assist with the annual Platinum Properties Program.
  • Oversee internal calendars and recognition programs.

HOA Board President and Community Partnerships

  • Collaborate on the management and execution of the HOA Board President’s Roundtable meetings.
  • Coordinate and support HOA events, community gatherings and nonprofit partnerships.
  • As directed, attend other organization meetings to stay informed on events and happenings in the community.

Events and Meetings

  • Collaborate on the planning and execution of internal and external organization gatherings and events.
  • Provide support for the execution of LCA’s annual event plans.
  • Assist with the development, management and execution of LCA’s HOA community partner events. 
  • Contribute to other community events to help ensure their success, when requested.

Administrative

  • Manage the inventory of marketing and community relations items, giveaways, new member welcome gifts and literature.
  • Organize and maintain marketing inventory to ensure materials are accessible, properly stored and tracked.
  • Work closely with and report to both Department Directors. 
  • Serve as a self-starter and team player, willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, events, or a nonprofit setting preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • AP Style editing experience
  • Solid project management and organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer-based technologies, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office suite, Canva, email management software, and CRM software
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment

Physical Requirements:

Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
