Position Information
Job Title Alumni Relations Assistant Position Summary
The Texas Wesleyan University Office of Alumni Relations is seeking a work-study student assistant. Under the direction of the Director of Alumni Relations this part-time position is responsible for assisting with the planning and creation of department communications and events. 12-15 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
         Assist with event planning, set-up and take-down for the office of advancement and alumni relations
         Assist with creation and implementation of news stories, email communications and the monthly alumni newsletter
         Assist with the creation of social media strategy and post to alumni social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
         Assist with alumni mailings
         Assist with administrative duties of the alumni office
         Provide excellent customer service when answer incoming office phone calls and with campus guests
Education, Certifications and/or Licenses
Must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher to be considered for the position
Experience
Freshman or higher classification at the time of official start date.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
         Customer service and people skills
         Ideal candidate will have the ability to write and/or edit promotional material for alumni events and program postings
         Graphic design ability using Canva or Adobe preferred
         Proficient knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
         Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
