Are you known as a person who never gives up? Are you inspired to help others achieve their goals? Join us and share your gifts.

Why KACL?

Since 1960, KACL has promoted inclusion and social justice in our community. We are a not-for-profit, charitable organization made up of some of the most compassionate, caring, and hardworking people you'll ever meet.

We are the third largest employer in Kenora, and our goal is to be the employer of choice by focusing on safety, courtesy, teamwork, and inclusion.

KACL's Community Mental Health Intensive Case Management program advocates for individual choice and encourages people to pursue their interests and engage in activities despite barriers. As a Community Support Worker, you will accept those you support for who they are and where they're at. You will provide supports focused on building confidence and independence and the discovery of each person's unique gifts and abilities to be used in the achievement of their identified goals and dreams.

You are:
  • Passionate About People: You strive to foster connections with people from all walks of life. You are curious and empathetic in your venture to build trust and understanding.
  • Respectful: You value people as they are and without judgment.
  • Energized: You see possibilities where there is adversity and are inspired to help others accomplish their goals.
  • Adaptive: You see challenges as an opportunity to learn, grow, and find solutions; you welcome change as part of this process.
  • An Advocate: You believe that everyone has a story that deserves to be heard.
You will:
  • Be part of a team of strong advocates that never gives up on the people we support.
  • Promote independence to build confidence and dignity.
  • Assist people in managing their illnesses, learning about their medications, eating nutritiously, and exploring available opportunities within the community.
  • Participate in a dynamic schedule that meets the needs of each person.
  • Provide tailored supports to individuals in their homes and in various community settings.
You'll love:
  • Being part of a progressive organization that makes a real difference in our community.
  • A positive, fun, professional team that needs and values your gifts and talents.
  • Opportunities for personal and professional growth, and exploration of your gifts.
  • Generous vacation & personal leave time, employer paid benefits, option pension plan.
$29.43 - $31.56 an hour
RPT1 positions work a minimum of 24 hours per week, averaged biweekly.
Vacancies: We are looking to fill one (1) regular part-time category 1 position.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted by August 23, 2026.

This is an on-site position based in Kenora, Ontario. Nestled on the shores of the stunning Lake of the Woods in Northwestern Ontario, Kenora offers the charm of a close-knit community combined with exceptional outdoor recreation. Located near the Ontario-Manitoba border, Kenora is approximately a two-hour drive east of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
