Our Mission: To empower individuals with behavioral health conditions, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities to achieve the lives of their choosing in the community.


Title: Traditional Bachelors Level Intern

Supervisor: Regional Director or Program Director


Summary of Job Duties:

The Social Work Intern works with the Program Director and Traditional Team members to learn the concepts of connection to community services and connection to services and benefits.  

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Must work a designated number of hours each week required by the University
  • Maintain all requirements from the University for the field placement
  • Participate in Project Transition trainings and events
  • Learn andparticipatein developing community linkages
  • Learn andparticipatein providing connection to benefits (i.e.SSI/SSDI, SNAP Benefits,etc)
  • Participate in and learn tofacilitatethe coordination of groups withvarious topics
  • Participate in treatment team meetings with members and staff.
  • Learn to develop andparticipatein transition and aftercare planning.
  • Complete trainings as aligned with regulatory compliance
  • Other duties as comfort and skill capabilities develop

Qualifications

  • Working toward and actively enrolled in aBachelor’slevel Social Work Program
