CTR Group is seeking a Community Programs Associate for a Health & Wellness Center in the Virginia Beach, VA area. Immediate opening and urgently hiring!


Salary Rate: $22.88 per hour with Benefits.

Work Hours:

40 hours per week

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

SUMMARY:

The Community Programs Associate is a full-time, onsite position based at our headquarters in Virginia Beach. This role is integral to the success of our Events Department and involves a combination of event planning and coordination, speaker and vendor management, marketing support, communications, administrative functions, and financial tracking for conferences, workshops, retreats, trainings, and virtual events.


We are particularly seeking candidates with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Three to five years of experience in event planning, convention services, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Experience with website content management systems and databases such as Salesforce, Umbraco, or similar platforms.
  • Experience coordinating conferences, workshops, trainings, retreats, and virtual events.
  • Demonstrated experience working with speakers, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and event participants.
  • Experience coordinating travel arrangements, lodging, catering, audiovisual requirements, and other event logistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating successfully in a team-oriented environment.
  • Confidence and professionalism in public speaking, including introducing presenters and facilitating event activities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Ability to assist with event setup, move materials, and lift supplies as needed.
