Job description

Are you energetic, creative, and passionate about bringing people together? The City of Green is looking for someone like you to join our Parks & Recreation team as a Part-Time Recreation Assistant!

This isn't your typical desk job-you'll be on the move, helping develop and coordinate engaging recreational programs and community events that make Green a great place to live, work, and play.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Provide leadership and assist in the operation of recreation programs.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of assigned recreation programs and activities.
  • Work with individuals relating to recreation programs and activities.
  • Work with community volunteers.
  • Represent the Parks & Recreation interests of the city.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lead other part-time staff.
  • Organize individuals participating in recreation programs.
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and projects.
  • Respond to requests for service and general recreation questions in a timely manner.
  • Provide on- site program leadership and facility operation for program participants and city staff in absence of Parks & Recreation management staff.
  • May assist with Parks & Recreation events and other programming in the Division/Department.
