Job description

The Program Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex New Product Development (NPD) programs within scope, schedule, and budget using a structured Product Management Process (PMP) with stage-gate methodology and measurable Gantt-based timelines. The Program Manager will drive programs across the full lifecycle-from concept through design, implementation, testing, qualification, and on-time delivery-while proactively identifying risks, ensuring stakeholder alignment, and enabling overall team success.

This role partners closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and operations to support the design, development, and implementation of power conversion systems, surge suppressor and PUD, with a focus on online double-conversion Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive implementation and execution of PMP stage-gate processes, including gate reviews and governance
  • Develop and maintain Gantt-based schedules with clear milestones and measurable deliverables
  • Lead and organize NPD and major program activities aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage program scope, schedule, and cost to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery
  • Identify program risks and lead cross-functional teams to mitigate risks proactively
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure seamless product development and launch
  • Support new product introductions in collaboration with Process Engineering
  • Track and resolve quality issues and defects, driving improved product reliability
  • Establish and maintain program budgets and operating plans
  • Conduct stage-gate meetings, reviews, and decision checkpoints
  • Manage Change Control Board (CCB) activities and ensure proper change governance
  • Provide accurate and timely program status reporting throughout the lifecycle
  • Maintain clear and transparent communication with stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and key decisions
  • Manage prototype parts and coordinate material procurement through close interaction with vendors.
  • Ensure achievement of program objectives including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team performance
  • Implement corrective actions and program interventions to meet performance targets

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in program/project management or related roles
  • Strong knowledge of program management processes, including stage-gate methodologies
  • Experience working in electronic product design and manufacturing environments, preferably in power electronics or UPS systems

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with power converters and UL requirements is highly desirable
  • Strong problem-solving skills, engineering knowledge, and ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project (or equivalent tools)
  • PMP certification preferred
