Program Overview
Butterfly Support Services provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based, person-centered care for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, behavioral concerns, mood disorders, PTSD, family conflict, stress management, and other behavioral health needs.
Services are provided in schools, homes, community settings, and through telehealth in a respectful, culturally responsive, and non-judgmental environment.
Position Summary
The Program Director provides strategic and operational leadership for assigned behavioral health programs. This position oversees day-to-day clinical and administrative operations while ensuring exceptional service delivery, staff development, compliance, quality assurance, and organizational growth.
The Program Director supervises clinical and support staff, promotes a positive culture of accountability, and ensures programs operate efficiently while meeting organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
This position also maintains a small clinical caseload to remain connected to service delivery and support organizational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Program Management
- Provide overall leadership, direction, and oversight of assigned behavioral health programs.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve program effectiveness and client outcomes.
- Monitor program performance through quality indicators, productivity measures, and outcome data.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, accreditation standards, payer requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment.
- Participate in strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives.
- Serve as an ambassador for Butterfly Support Services within the community.
Staff Supervision
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain high-performing staff.
- Provide supervision, coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
- Conduct regular individual supervision and team meetings.
- Complete performance evaluations and performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Plan, assign, and monitor workloads.
- Ensure staff maintain productivity expectations and documentation standards.
- Provide clinical consultation and guidance regarding treatment planning and case management.
- Assist with case coverage when staffing needs arise.
Clinical Oversight
- Oversee treatment planning, service delivery, documentation, and case progression.
- Review and approve clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Monitor documentation quality to ensure compliance with payer and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate clinical case reviews and support evidence-based treatment practices.
- Attend consultation meetings and implement recommendations.
- Maintain a small clinical caseload, including assessments, treatment planning, therapy, and/or case management as assigned.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
- Ensure staff meet documentation deadlines.
- Review incident reports and assist with corrective action planning.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with audits, accreditation activities, and compliance reviews.
- Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Administrative Responsibilities

- Build relationships with community partners, schools, healthcare providers, and referral sources.
- Participate in leadership meetings and agency initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
