Description
Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP), which seeks to strengthen individuals, families and communities through direct services and community collaborations that create solutions to poverty, is looking to hire a detail oriented and data driven full-time Enrollment & Billing Coordinator for the Child & Family Services department. KVCAP Child & Family Services, a Head Start/Early Head Start provider, offers child care, preschool, home visiting and whole family coaching in northern Kennebec and Somerset counties.
The Enrollment & Billing Coordinator will assist with financial components of assigned program initiatives, including scholarships and accounts payable related tasks. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong financial knowledge and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Determining eligibility of applications and ensuring completion of all required documentation.
  • Completing data entry of child and family information as required in ChildPlus, E-DECA, and Procare.
  • Scan all documents for the electronic child/family file.
  • Establish income eligibility file and forwards appropriately for review.
  • Provide enrollment support as assigned for HomeStart partners.
  • Manages verification of childcare subsidies for enrolled families, as assigned.
  • Assists and supports the C&FS Accounts Payable Specialist with petty cash reconciliations and voucher preparations as assigned.
  • Provides coverage for the Hight Receptionist as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of administrative experience.
  • Accounting systems knowledge preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all internal/external customers, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer skills and aptitude, including Word and Excel, required.
  • Efficiency oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and present information in an effective manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all people and be able to perform varied task simultaneously .
  • Follows accepted safety practices when performing all tasks and never works in a way which compromises his/her safety or that of clients or co-workers .
  • Ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Health and Human Services, Fraud, and National Sex Offender registry background checks .

Education Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience as indicated above.
