Job description

The Opportunity:

The Program Assistant provides support to the State Sales managers and Underwriting team for assigned program while continuing to grow and develop insurance and underwriting knowledge. The position also supports management and coworkers with projects through leadership, teamwork, training, and implementation. This position may provide an avenue for joining the underwriting team as part of career progression.


In This Role You Will Execute On:

  • Assist Underwriting with:

    • Creating of new and renewal applications and data entry to process assigned submissions in a timely fashion
    • Ensuring applications are complete and thoroughly documented on assigned accounts
    • Creation of loss runs or other reports
    • Binding and invoicing new and renewal accounts
    • Policy issuance quality analysis processes
    • Processing cancellations, non-renewals, reinstatement, endorsements, and audits

In This Role You'll Need:

  • High School diploma and two years of administrative support experience. Experience in the insurance industry highly preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain consistently accurate work. Does not let important details slip through the cracks. Is able to read between the lines and ensure all duties are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
  • Communication: strong written and verbal communication skills (including e-mail).
  • Coachable: Follow directions and demonstrate accountability to support professional growth.
  • Organization / Prioritization: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage peaks in workloads, day-to-day responsibilities within set deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic demonstrated by desire to succeed and complete tasks while effectively managing competing priorities and obstacles.
