Job description

Build Better Roads with ViaSun

ViaSun Corporation is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Preservation Material Applicator to join our pavement preservation team. In this hands-on field position, you will help apply sealcoat, slurry, and other pavement preservation materials while maintaining high standards for quality, efficiency, and job-site safety.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, and thrives as part of a team.

What You'll Do
  • Apply sealcoat, slurry, and other pavement preservation materials using a squeegee, maintaining uniform coverage and proper thickness.
  • Monitor material consistency and adjust application techniques to achieve proper adhesion and durability.
  • Prepare pavement surfaces before application, including cleaning, edging, and completing minor repairs.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to help prevent downtime.
  • Set up and maintain safe work zones in accordance with traffic control plans and ViaSun safety standards.
  • Follow flagging and traffic control procedures to protect crew members and the traveling public.
  • Properly wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Load, unload, and safely handle materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Communicate effectively with the Superintendent, equipment operators, and other crew members to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Adapt to changing job-site conditions and assist teammates with additional duties as needed.
  • Follow company policies, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
