About the Role:
Join our passionate team at Happy Tails Holistic Veterinary Care as a Holistic Associate Veterinarian! This role is ideal for a doctor who is passionate about blending conventional and alternative therapies to provide individualized, whole-patient care. The ideal candidate has training and experience in veterinary acupuncture and a working knowledge of Chinese herbal therapy, with a strong interest and willingness to continue expanding their skill set in integrative modalities. Additional therapies include ozone therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, lymphatic therapy and other emerging holistic treatments. A commitment to
lifelong learning, open-minded collaboration, and a genuine passion for holistic healing is essential.
Conventional & Diagnostic Medicine

The ideal candidate is also confident practicing traditional veterinary medicine, including interpreting
blood work, performing and evaluating diagnostic imaging such as X-rays and ultrasound, and
managing and treating a wide range of common illnesses and chronic diseases in small animals.
The ability to integrate conventional diagnostics with holistic treatment plans is essential.
Candidates should be familiar (with additional training if necessary) in performing routine surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, dental procedures, and mass removals. Experience with a broader range of surgical procedures—whether soft tissue or more advanced interventions—is highly valued, though mentorship and growth in these areas can be supported. Strong diagnostic, medical, and case management skills are expected. 

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive veterinary examinations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using holistic therapies.
  • Educate pet owners on holistic health practices and preventive care.
  • Perform routine surgical and dental procedures with a focus on minimal invasiveness.
  • Collaborate with a team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
