Position Overview
As the on-site Community Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional resident experiences, managing leasing and administrative operations, supervising staff, overseeing financial reporting, executing marketing strategies, and maintaining smooth property operations for our student housing property. Your leadership and attention to detail will be critical to the success of our community and the overall resident experience.
What You Will Do
Leadership and Staff Management:
  • Lead and supervise all community staff, ensuring optimal team performance and development, fostering an environment of collaboration, growth, and high performance.
  • Spearhead the recruitment, training, and, when necessary, termination of team members in strict accordance with company policies.
  • Manage staff schedules and oversee the timely submission of property payroll.

Property Operations:
  • Ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards and in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Implement and monitor property reporting requirements to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate contract obligations and terms with vendors.

Resident and University Relations:
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, addressing their needs promptly and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with universities and other relevant stakeholders in the community.
  • Responsible for creating and executing quarterly Reputation Management Plans, and reviewing them with their Regional Manager.

Compliance and Standards:
  • Enforce strict compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Uphold brand and company standards, ensuring that the property is consistently presented in an exceptional manner.

Special Projects and Reporting:
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager on special projects and assignments, contributing innovative ideas and strategic insights.
  • Complete all assigned HR/People Operations-related tasks with meticulous attention to detail.

Other:
  • Must be able to work a full shift / required work schedule on-site at the property.
  • Must be available for additional hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
  • Must be available to assist with move-outs, turn, and move-ins that extend beyond normal full-time hours.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, as required by the demands of the job. This may include bending, stooping, and lifting throughout the workday.

Ideally, You'll Have
  • High School graduate; college degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in property management or related fields.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite and Windows and/or Apple operating systems.

You'll crush it if you have experience with
  • Student Housing operations experience
  • Experience with Entrata and Yardi Software(s)
