Working closely with health systems, community organizations, technology companies, government agencies, and clinical partners, this role will manage the full implementation lifecycle—from identifying priority healthcare challenges through implementation, evaluation, and statewide scale.

This position requires an experienced project leader who can coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, translate strategy into execution, and ensure innovative care models become sustainable components of routine healthcare delivery.

The Rural Health Program Manager will report to the Senior Director of the SciTech Scity Innovation Hub and work collaboratively with a team of program managers. This position requires travel throughout the State of New Jersey, with a significant portion of travel taking place in South Jersey.

*This is a grant-funded position with current funding secured for a four-year period. Continued employment is contingent upon the ongoing availability of grant funds.

What You’ll Bring
You are passionate about improving healthcare access and outcomes for rural and underserved populations through thoughtful implementation of innovative care models.

You enjoy solving complex execution challenges, orchestrating diverse stakeholders, and building systems that can scale beyond individual pilot projects. You balance organization and flexibility, with the ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages and keep stakeholders informed, while also shifting priorities as needed and thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You are highly organized, comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects, and thrive in environments where priorities evolve quickly. You are equally comfortable speaking with clinicians, startup founders, and community organizations. You enjoy a variety of tasks and bring a problem-solving mindset to your work.

  • Monitor project progress using both traditional healthcare metrics and leading indicators such as provider trust, workflow fit, adoption, and patient engagement.

  • Facilitate continuous feedback loops between providers, technology partners, and internal teams.

  • Develop replication playbooks, implementation frameworks, and resource guides that enable expansion across additional rural communities.
