As a Community Health Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties: Disease Oversight: Ensure case investigations and surveillance for reportable diseases using approved systems and manuals Clinical Leadership: Direct clinical practices and guide staff in delivering public health services Program Planning: Plan and direct clinical services, emergency response activities, and community initiatives Community Assessment: Lead community health assessments to identify priorities and address local needs Partner Coordination: Direct staff in working with agencies, schools, and health professionals to support public health initiatives Committee Representation: Represent the department on committees and advocate for public health programs Interested in learning more. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch

You will work weekends and after hours assignments as needed. This position's headquarters will be determined by the selected candidate and may be at the State Health Center in one of the following counties: Armstrong, Beaver, or Butler. This position supervises Community Health Nurses and clerical staff within the Southwest District which includes the following counties: Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to your assigned headquarters office in the Southwest District.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years as a Community Health Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of community health nursing experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements: You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
