Our culture is rooted in excellence, inclusivity, and a shared dedication to client success and employee growth. By exchanging innovative ideas, we help organizations thrive, create new opportunities for our people, and give back in meaningful ways. Through it all, we make sure to have fun. As a locally owned and operated firm, we’re proud to call Grand Rapids, Greenville, Holland, Muskegon, and St. Joseph home.

Your Impact

As an Events Coordinator with Hungerford, you’ll bring structure, consistency, and execution excellence to the firm’s event portfolio. This role supports business development, strengthens referral relationships, enhances brand visibility, and contributes to a high-quality employee experience through well-executed events. You’ll lead planning and execution across both external marketing and business development events, as well as internal firm events, partnering closely with marketing, business development, human resources, and practice teams. From planning through execution and performance tracking, your work will ensure each event aligns with firm priorities and delivers measurable value.

How You Will Add Value

  • Build and manage the firm’s annual events calendar across internal and external events
  • Plan and execute client events, referral mixers, conferences, and sponsorship activations
  • Serve as a host for events, creating a professional and engaging experience for guests
  • Coordinate all event logistics including venues, vendors, catering, invitations, and on-site execution
  • Manage guest lists, RSVPs, and post-event follow-up tracking
  • Support internal events (e.g., holiday party, tax season celebration, employee initiatives) in partnership with HR
  • Oversee Van Andel Arena suite scheduling, guest experience, and event coordination
  • Track event performance and provide insights to improve ROI and future planning

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate event coordination or event management
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate across departments
  • Experience working with vendors, venues, and external partners
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to evaluate and improve event outcomes
  • Proactive, execution-focused approach

What You Will Gain

  • Immediate eligibility for medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible scheduling and support for work-life balance
  • Generous PTO, paid holidays, and parental leave
  • 401(k) and retirement planning resources
  • Professional development and growth opportunities
  • A people-first culture that values relationships, collaboration, and community impact
