Job description

Job Summary The Commercial Professional Development Program (CPDP) at Fresenius Kabi is a two-year rotational program designed for recent college graduates seeking broad commercial experience within the healthcare industry. Through a series of 4-6 month rotations across multiple commercial functions, CPDP Associates gain hands-on exposure to the business while building a strong foundation in commercial operations, analytics, customer engagement, and strategic planning.
Associates rotate through key departments including Marketing, Contract Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Sales Operations, Business Planning & Analysis, and Commercial Excellence. Throughout the program, participants contribute to meaningful business initiatives, develop cross-functional knowledge, and build the skills needed for long-term career growth within Fresenius Kabi. Upon successful completion of the program, Associates transition into a full-time role aligned to their strengths, interests, and business needs.
This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite in the Lake Zurich, Illinois office 3 days a week.
Salary Range: $63,000 - $65,000 per year
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Completion of department rotations of 4-6 months. Responsibilities will vary upon each placement.

Rotation Areas May Include:

Customer Service

  • Develop and analyze customer reports and demographic data.
  • Identify customer needs and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Support customer-focused operational initiatives.

Contract Marketing

  • Build and maintain contract and bid-related databases.
  • Monitor compliance and support reporting for future marketing strategies.

Business Planning & Analysis / Supply Chain

  • Support forecasting cycles and business planning activities.
  • Analyze market trends and provide insights to commercial leadership.

Marketing

  • Assist with business planning, market analysis, and product launch activities.
  • Support initiatives related to generic product commercialization and customer engagement.

Sales Enablement / Sales Operations

  • Support systems, reporting, and tools that improve sales effectiveness and customer service.

Commercial Excellence

  • Participate in initiatives related to:
    • Digital Enablement
    • Market Intelligence
    • Commercial Reporting
    • Sales Force Effectiveness
    • Commercial People & Skills Development
  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing or Finance.
  • Ideal candidate will have recently graduated from an undergraduate program (<1 year)
  • Preference is given to those candidates with internship experience.
  • Detailed and results-oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to quickly establish working relationships and effectively transition through assignments.
  • The ability to work independently and interface with various levels of management in a multi-task, deadline oriented team environment.
  • Intermediate skill set with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other database concepts.
  • Demonstrated results orientation and high productivity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
