Job Purpose
The Corporate Development Director is responsible for leading enterprise-wide growth initiatives that support Pleasant Valley's long-term strategic objectives across its facility management, construction, real estate, and property management divisions. This role identifies and evaluates new business opportunities, drives market expansion, and cultivates high-value client and strategic partner relationships to accelerate sustainable growth. Working closely with executive and division leadership, the Director develops and executes corporate growth strategies, aligns cross-functional initiatives, and ensures the successful implementation of business development efforts that strengthen the company's competitive position and expand its market presence.
Responsibilities
  • Strategic Growth Leadership: Lead enterprise-wide business development initiatives by identifying new market opportunities, developing long-term growth strategies, and advancing corporate and divisional objectives across all Pleasant Valley service lines.
  • Client & Partner Development: Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with clients, strategic partners, public agencies, and community stakeholders to drive client retention, business expansion, and long-term organizational value.
  • Business Development Execution: Oversee the strategic opportunity pipeline, including client onboarding, RFPs, proposals, contract strategy, and CRM forecasting to ensure successful pursuit and execution of new business opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with executive and division leadership to identify cross-selling opportunities, develop integrated client solutions, and ensure enterprise-wide alignment in the execution of corporate development priorities.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning: Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market conditions to provide actionable insights that inform strategic planning, corporate positioning, and future growth initiatives.

  • Requirements
    Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships, business development, or a related strategic growth role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Industry Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of commercial construction, facility management, property management, and commercial real estate brokerage, with the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities across multiple service lines.
  • Strategic Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, evaluate business opportunities, develop growth strategies, and support executive-level decision-making.
  • Relationship Management: Proven success building and maintaining executive-level client, partner, and stakeholder relationships while collaborating effectively across cross-functional leadership teams.
