Essential Functions:
This position is the lead on all community-based fundraisers, along with lead on Boo at the Zoo and Back to School Boogaloo sponsor solicitation; overseeing all raffle programs; and serving as lead for cause marketing growth (year long opportunities), and managing seasonal campaigns including pediatric cancer awareness month and light up the season through meaningful, ongoing community engagement.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
3 years of direct fundraising or related experience in raising mid-level and/or major gifts for nonprofits, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Transferrable or related experience such as marketing, public relations, trust officer or sales will be considered.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated success in growing and managing an annual fund, mid-level or major gifts portfolio to meet assigned goals and objectives.
Proven ability to work with hospital leadership and colleagues to identify and qualify prospective donors, make discovery visits and build a pipeline of potential support.
Experience in prospect identification, relationship building, prospect portfolio management and solicitation and stewardship of prospects for a nonprofit, preferably in a healthcare environment.
An understanding of developing and managing relationships with corporate sponsors
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to write and speak in a clear and compelling manner.
