Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region. Since 1965, TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Development Coordinator directly serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for creating demand for the facility's services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods. In collaboration with the Business Development Manager and Business Development Team, the Business Development Coordinator presents a positive and professional public image of the facility within the community. This position requires traveling.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in health care business development/marketing environment with measurable
    business development results, and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles,
    preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record and valid insurance. Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation training must be completed during new hire orientation and annually prior to working in a clinical setting.
    Additional training to be completed with respective timeline.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills. Possess the ability to make sales
    presentations. Possess the ability to problem solve and think critically. Customer service focus. Prefer knowledge of
    the Sherman/Dallas/North Texas greater metro area behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets
    and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment, and age-specific programming. Practices
    teamwork.
