These programs include probation, parole, electronic monitoring, halfway houses, and community service. The goal is to rehabilitate offenders, reduce recidivism, and promote public safety while allowing individuals to remain connected to their communities and families. Community corrections also help alleviate overcrowding in correctional facilities and reduce costs for the criminal justice system.
